Notice of Special Meeting of Members
The President of the Association hereby calls for a Special Meeting of the Members to be held on September 30, 2026, 6:30pm, at Haley House, 23 Dartmouth Street, Boston, MA 02116
Agenda for Meeting
1. Adoption of New Bylaws for the following reasons:
a. Amend the scope of the neighborhood to include the Eight Streets neighborhood to effectuate a merger of Ellis Neighborhood Association with the Eight Streets Neighborhood Association.
b. Change the name to Ellis Eight Streets Neighborhood Association.
c. Modernize the Bylaws, given changes in law and approach for tax exempt volunteer organizations since 2013, the last time the Bylaws were amended.
d. A copy of the Proposed Bylaws is attached here (and a copy showing the changes from the existing Bylaws attached here.
2. Elect a new slate of Directors to serve under the Amended Bylaws

3. Elect the new officers to serve under the Amended Bylaws

How it works: You begin as one group for drinks and appetizers. Small groups of 8 will then move to their assigned restaurant for a first course and wine; then on to a second restaurant for a second course and more wine. Then meet again for dessert. This year drinks/apps are at the Beehive, and dessert will be at the Buttery. Dining restaurants are on the attached flier.
This is a once-a-year opportunity to enjoy multiple of our local restaurants on one night with fellow Ellis neighbors and friends. Seats are limited - thank you for signing up early!
