Rising property taxes continue to be an issue for all residents in boston. We'll try to keep the latest information up on here. Much of the information can also be found on the web site of the Alliance of Boston Neighborhoods.
- ABN Property Tax persentation #1 - "Boston's Tax Crisis". This is 'city finances 101'. It explains how the city gets money, form all sources. Where the money goes. And why the resident property taxes are taking a larger slice of the revune pie. This presentation is available as a web page or in the original powerpoint slides.
- ABN Property Tax persentation #2 - "Property Tax Exemptions". This presentations concentrateson all the property on Boston that pays no property tax (almost 50% of all property) - includeing state local and fed governments, as well as non profit institutions.
